We are looking to recruit a Caretaker to join Brookburn Primary School. You will work alongside the Business Manager to support the facilities management of the school.

We require a resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our team.

The position is full time 35 hours, Permanent all year round. Annual Leave is taken in the school holidays.  We would also consider a job share please indicate on the application form your preference.

Salary: GRADE 3 -£21189-£21968 – Full Time

Job Description

Senior Learning Mentor

 

 

We are looking to recruit a Senior Learning Mentor to join our new Inclusion Team. You will work alongside the school’s senior leaders and SENCo to support SEND provision and in particular children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) across the school.

We require a resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our team. The candidate should ideally have experience of working in a school environment supporting classes with an enthusiasm for improving pupils’ learning.

The position is full time, permanent and All Year Round.

The position will not involve working during the school holidays but the hours will be annualised to 40 hours per week.

Grade 5 SCP 13 £24948.00

This post will involve supporting identified children who have a range of Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. For example: Social Communication difficulties, speech and language difficulties, including difficulties with attention and focus and developmental trauma.
You will work under the direction of the SENCo and senior leaders to support a positive curriculum for children that have barriers to learning. You will be an integral part of the school’s positive culture that supports our pupils to achieve.

Information about children with SEND to help you make a positive choice about applying for this position

Pupils you work with will have a range of the following needs:

  • Social, emotional and mental health needs
  • difficulties with communication, social understanding and flexible thinking/imagination
  • challenging behaviour (e.g. hitting, spitting, absconding)
  • sensory issues e.g. hyper-sensitivity to sounds, tastes, smells
  • limited awareness of safety
  • toileting, self-care and/or eating issues
  • associated conditions including anxiety, epilepsy, ADHD

Pupils need staff to provide:

  • consistent, calm support
  • a flexible approach, responding positively to changing needs
  • high levels of visual support
  • individual teaching and small group activities
  • support in mainstream classes, the dinner hall, the playground and during educational visits
  • active encouragement to promote independence

SENCo

 

We are looking to recruit a SENCo with responsibility for SEND provision to join our new Inclusion Team, working alongside the inclusion lead (Deputy Head)  You will work alongside the school’s senior leaders to support children with a range of additional and special educational needs across the school.

Brookburn is an inclusive school and the candidate will need to demonstrate their drive to support children to achieve positive outcomes. The SENCo will work alongside families and staff to include children in our successful school.

This Permanent position is 4 days per week

Teacher Scale plus TLR 2a (FTE £3017.00 pro rata 4 days £2413.60)

We are looking for someone to take up post as soon as possible but would be willing to wait until April 2023 for the right candidate.
