EYFS Teacher – Required from September 2022

Grade M1
Term Time Only
Full Time / Temporary until 31st August 2023 (with a possibility of a permanent post after this date)

Brookburn Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated class teacher to join our team.

The successful candidate will be creative and innovative in their approach to learning and someone who can demonstrate an excellent track record of consistently strong teaching leading to positive outcomes for pupils.  They will be a creative and highly motivated professional who has a very positive, ‘can do’ attitude.  You will need to be committed to achieving the very best for our children working in a diverse suburban community. You must have strong inclusive practices and have high expectations for all learners.  We are looking for a teacher who is highly collaborative and has a strong commitment to improving outcomes for our diverse range of pupils. We are also looking for a teacher who demonstrates a commitment to their own professional learning and growth, and who is eager and keen to take on new challenges and opportunities that arise.

Teaching Assistant (TA2) – SEN. Required from September 2022

Grade 3 Scale 4-6

Brookburn Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs.
This post will involve supporting identified children who have a range of Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. For example: Social Communication difficulties, speech and language difficulties, including difficulties with attention and focus and developmental trauma. You will work under the direction of the class teacher to deliver a personalised curriculum and will be supported by our specialist staff. This post may involve working in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.

Although a temporary position initially, there is the possibility of this becoming permanent to the right candidate.

The successful candidate will offer a consistent, calm support with a flexible approach, responding positively to changing needs.
They will able to work individually and as part of a team and will be expected to provide high levels of visual support and activities that are enjoyable and fun to individuals and small groups of children. They will be confident providing support in mainstream classes, the dinner hall, the playground and during educational visits and will be able to offer active encouragement to promote independence.
