Due to the relocation of our current SENCo, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SEND/Inclusion leader to join our committed, passionate and hard-working team and champion our vision for all learners to thrive.
The SENCo will work closely with the Deputy Headteachers, and within our newly created Pastoral Team, to support and prioritise disadvantaged pupil’s mental health and well-being, in addition to their academic needs.
The SENCo position is non-teaching, however occasional cover may be required. The SENCo will also spend some of their time within classrooms supporting staff and pupils, with a focus on high quality teaching and learning for our disadvantaged pupils.
This is an exciting time to join our school; the SENCo will be instrumental in supporting the school achieve the Nurture Award, working alongside our newly appointed pastoral leader to further strengthen a nurture approach throughout the school.
As our SEND/Inclusion leader you will be offered high quality professional development through our SEND learning networks, where local SENCos meet regularly to share and develop best practice and work in partnership with health agency professionals.

Given the importance and expectations of this role, the successful candidate will be a key part of the School’s Senior Leadership Team.
