School meals

School meals

Our school meals are freshly prepared and cooked in school each day. The menu, which can be found below, rotates over a 4 week period and children in Reception to Year 6 must select their option each day (red or yellow) in advance. Children in Nursery do not need to indicate their options.

School meals currently cost £12.50 per week unless your child is entitled to free school meals via the government’s Universal Free School Meal system which allows children in Reception Class, Year 1 and Year 2 to have a free meal regardless of income.

Payment for school dinners should be made via ParentPay, our online payment system by logging on to www.parentpay.com.  Dinner money accounts on ParentPay should always remain in credit.

Please note that if your account is in arrears you may be asked to provide a packed lunch for your child until your account is in credit.

Parentpay gives you a more convenient and flexible way to pay school online and enables you to view your account statement and payment history, check when payments need to be made and set alerts to tell you when to pay school online.

If you have any issues using the ParentPay system, please speak to a member of the office team who will be pleased to help.

May we remind parents/carers that any changes to meals, either from packed lunch to school meals or vice versa, should be notified to the office 2 weeks ahead of the change. Please complete the relevant form and return to the school office either in person or by email (admin@brookburn.manchester.sch.uk).

Many thanks.
